About the Poppy Appeal and how you can help.

The Poppy Appeal is the flagship campaign held every year in October and November. 

Founded in 1921, the Appeal raises funds for the Royal British Legion’s vital work supporting serving personnel, veterans and their families throughout their lives with whatever the need, whenever it’s needed. 

Support to those in need is made possible with the help of our Branch volunteers who offer a little of their time each year in helping collect donations from selling poppies and other related items to the public at local supermarkets, high street shops, train stations pubs/clubs and many other retail outlets.

So if you can spare a little time this year by volunteering with the poppy collections please let our branch know and we will assist you all the way.

Remember the simple act of wearing a poppy sends a personal message of thanks and support for the Armed Forces community to see
